“Secondly – I grew up in a man’s world, mister. I know Romance when I sees it. And if ye’re asking my opinion, which you are, I’d say it’s bollocks. Candles an’ roses? Everybody does candles an’ roses, an’ all it boils down to is smoke in yer eyes an’ some daft bugger wavin’ a bunch o’ daisies that set orf yer asthma. It’s mucky, an’ cheap, an’ I ain’t about to be treated like every tuppenny molly down th’ ages. Me mam had her share o’ men an’ then some – I ain’t gonna be me mam.
“I’d want a date where there weren’t no Romance. I’d want a date where there ain’t no ‘shall I compare thee to a summer’s day’ or pullin’ out chairs for me or tryin’ to act like he don’t want in my knickers. And he ain’t allowed to say ‘I loves you.’ Why? Cos every sorry bugger says that, it’s been used till there’s nuffin’ left but air an’ some pretend warmth. It’s a fart of a phrase, an’ it ain’t for me.
“In fact – I’d rather he says nuffin’ at all. Not so it’s awkward, not like we ran outta things to say – just because you don’t needs words to have feelin’s. I ain’t educated, and I don’t understand words like ‘yearning’ an’ ‘ passionate’, but I don’t need words like that to show a man I likes ‘im. And I don’t reckon he needs ‘em either.

And thus concludes Miss SDL. the curtains are down, and we've given it our heart and soul. I like to think that in every round i've showed a different facet to Kit - warrior, rebel, and woman, they're all elements of who she is. and at the end of the day, Kit doesn't much care what side you see of her, as long as there's food, alcohol and ideally someone to hit. She's a fighter, but she's also a girl - and a pretty dress and a jig beat is all she needs to let that out.

however, the ballgown doesn't get it all its own way...

the flowers on her gown are thistles - spiky flowers with a mullet, but flowers nonetheless. she has a split (the better for fighting in) and i was unable to separate her from her boots. The sigil on her locket, and on the walls, is the Gokiburi-Gumi clan symbol. The figures on the wall hangings are *Endling's Ree, Lilith and Rex - her 'bosses', and i'd like to hope they're cheering on a fellow GGer.
